Account investigation email

Greetings,

An investigation of your World of Warcraft account has found strong evidence that the account in question is being sold or traded. As you may not be aware of, this conflicts with Blizzard's EULA under section 4 Paragraph B which can be found here: WoW -> Legal -> End User License Agreement
and Section 8 of the Terms of Use found here:
WoW -> Legal -> Terms of Use

The investigation will be continued by Blizzard administration to determine the action to be taken against your account. If your account is found violating the EULA and Terms of Use, your account can, and will be suspended/closed/or terminated.
In order to keep this from occurring, you should immediately verify that you are the original owner of the account.

To verify your identity please visit the following webpage:
https://us.battle.net/login/login.xml?ref=https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/&app=wam
Only Account Administration will be able to assist with account retrieval issues. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter, and your continued interest in World of Warcraft.

Sincerely,

Account Administration
Blizzard Entertainment

Can some one plz tell me if this is legit? Because I have no idea how to tell.

Are you still able to log in to your account and play, Luthordead? Because that is a normal sign that we have not taken action on you ;-)

Also, is this regarding the account you are posting on? It appears you are in good standing and nothing is out of place.

I would like to note that we have a sticky towards the top of our Customer Service Forum titled: "Fake E-mails from "Blizzard Entertainment"" and it contains a lot of information on how to determine what may be a fake e-mail and what to do if you clicked on links or gave out information. You may find the information in that thread very helpful.

Is the e-mail that was your Battle.net account the same that is attached to this account? If not, could you provide a Character name and realm from the account which is no longer on your Battle.net account?

After researching this issue further I am unable to directly confirm the situation you are reporting.

If I understand what you are now stating with your further posts, You have a Battle.net account in your name, you attached a World of Warcraft account that was in your name to the Battle.net account... but now it has been removed from the Battle.net account and you have not received any e-mails stating the World of Warcraft account was removed.

If you are unable to access this World of Warcraft account via the account management page at www.worldofwarcraft.com I would recommend contacting our Billing & Account Services department directly for assistance in attempting to recover your World of Warcraft account.

Well Luthordead, as I asked several times, are you able to log into your World of Warcraft account. You have mentioned it is no longer linked to your Battle.net but you have not mentioned if you can log in to it or not.

If you can, you can simply reattach it, if not, you will need to go through standard recovery procedure which is quite simple. When you contact the Billing Department you will verify you are the account holder and they will help you get back in. If they are unable to help you get back in they will be able to advise you on your course of action to get the issue resolved.
