Story-less raids

All of the WOTLK Raids have little story or they don't have a story at all. Like Vault of Archavon, Horde captures the fortress and a raid enters to kill a STONE Watcher made out of STEEL and a STORM watcher made out of STEEL; you enter there and kill them just because you can. This also happens with Naxxramas, it came back and you enter there and kill everything, with no purpose at all (I'm talking about a lore purpose). This also happens with Ulduar, yes it has a story, many quests are related to it and it even has a video, but it has no quests about entering there and killing the bad guys.

What happened with the attunement quests? What happened to the quests that required you to enter a certain raid and kill those guys? (Ehem, the Argent Dawn quests of entering Naxx)

We've purposefully shied away from attunement quests so as to avoid making those the mitigating factor of participation. We'd rather players get in the door and focus on progression than be limited by attunements.

With that said, where there's a raid there's a reason. You can read some pretty compelling synopses for each Wrath of the Lich King raid dungeon here: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/wrathraidarea.html
