I had a World of Warcraft account last summer where I had purchased all of the CD's for the original and the expansion. I took a couple months off and I'm just getting back into it, but I forgot my old account name so I decided to do a new one, but now its asking me to buy another retail copy of the game because I already used it on my old account. Is there any way I can use my old CD key for my new account?

I'm glad to hear that you are interested in continuing your adventures in Azeroth, Vallane.

The authentication keys that came with your purchase can only be used to create a single account. Fortunately, we do not delete accounts regardless of how long you may have been away. If you need help recovering your account name and/or password it may be best to contact the Billing department by phone. We should be happy to help track down the account in question to the best of our abilities and help you recover access.
