This is why dual-specs are bad

I knew it would happen. I was in a group for heroic UK. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37193 drops.

There was only 2 plate users, one was a HOLY paladin. He rolls on the legs and wins. His justification "I have two specs, I can use it".

Before you flame me, I wouldn't have cared if it was a ret paladin rolling. Nor would I have cared as much but the paladin rolled on 3 items already that were holy.

So now any idiot with a dual-spec can run around saying "Hey I'm this and this spec" and take every item in an instance now.

Yes I know this isn't Naxx gear, I don't have time to run naxx, so please don't try and bring that up.

Posters 1-6 are correct. Your scenario doesn't prove that the dual specialization system is bad for the game, Gene. What it shows, as with absolutely any change to the game or in real life, is that people must adapt. Loot rules need to be clarified a little differently than before. Really though, the common loot rules for a 5-player dungeon are need before greed and main spec before off spec. Dual specializations shouldn't change these rules much. You just need to make sure it's clear that the specialization being used by a particular class in the instance will be considered their primary specialization, and the other a secondary specialization (off spec).

Edit: Updated the number of correct posters before me. ;)
