My priest was engaged in a 1v1 for quite some time last week with the mage of a Rogue + Mage 2v2 from Lethon server. The mage's name escapes me, but the rogue was named Frederico if memory serves.
Their rating was far below ours so when all was said and done we suffered a loss to the tune of 4 points when our rating was 2301, this dropped us to 2297, as it should have.
Shortly after the match as my priest was restocking water from the nearly 45 minute filibuster, I was checking the W/L ratio and noticed that the TEAM RATING had inexplicably dropped 16 points. Neither of us was que'd for a match either. However our personals had remained untouched along with the MMR.
The team rating now sat at 2281 with my personal remaining at 2297.
I immediately posted a ticket.
Later that evening a GM contacted me and noted that he too saw the rating discrepancy and mysteriously disappearing team rating and assured me that the issue would be resolved, with the caveat that we may not see the changes until the servers rolled over on Tuesday.
Tuesday came and went and still there was no change to our TEAM RATING. I posted a follow up ticket and due to long ques I was unable to fully explain to that GM the issue at hand because by the time I got in contact with him life happened and I had to get going for an exam. I requested that he send any information he could to my registered e-mail address. I was a bit dismayed to read later that he had simply forwarded me an explanation of arena ratings and that the promised changes to our Team Rating had still not happened. This didn't trouble me so much as I didn't have time to fully explain my issue.
No worries, I posted a 2nd follow up ticket. Same story, except this time I didn't even get to speak to a GM. Just another forum post link, which I have read, and still doesn't explain away the 16 rating discrepancy.
Is there anyway to get my lost arena rating back now?
I can see the argument that we continued to progress beyond that rating and now something that happened 200 rating ago should be all but moot.
Not true. Our personals as well as match making ratings remained the same after the 16 rating disappeared. This implies that our opponents would have remained the same opponents and our wins and losses would have been the same.
Furthermore, I was under impression as we continued playing that the issue had been resolved and we simply would not notice the changes until a later date. So I saw no reason to stop pushing the rating.
I have tried to locate the match in question in our match history however several peculiar complications have arisen.
I can no loner locate Frederico on the armory, unless my recollection of the rogue's name is incorrect, he and his partner may have transferred servers recently.
Additionally with the patch that occurred this week I wonder if the reimbursement of our rating was affected.
Is there anyway someone could look into this matter for me? 16 rating may not sound like much but at 2435....that's 4 wins or a single loss. Which is a lot to me when you're trying to push top 10 on the BG ^_^
