"Character with that name already exists"

I was on the boat from SW to Dolonaar, and suddenly got disconnected. When ever I try to log that character back in, it gives the error message in the subject line of this post. "A Character with that name already exists." .

I can log onto my other characters, but still cant log into Lanthanide.

As Miyoko said that message is usually caused when the character disconnects suddenly and has not been logged out yet. Usually giving it a few minutes will allow the system to kick the character offline so you can access it once more.

If it takes longer than a few minutes you'll want to submit an in-game petition from an alternate character as Miyoko suggested.

It looks like you are in-game on that character now so I'll assume the issue was resolved. :)
