New Player Advice: What's yours?

We see these threads pretty often, where players talk about the things they didn't know about until someone told them or they discovered it. I thought I'd revive the topic and expand upon it. Share the little things you think are important for new or newer players to know.

This can also expand into players trying out a new class as well. For instance a new rogue player may not realize they can eat and drink and still stealth while doing so. Going from melee to caster or vice versa sometimes can shake people up in their thinking.

What things should ever player know who is undertaking their journey through Azeroth for the first time or taking up a new class for the first time?

*Again, I'd ask everyone please keep it positive and refrain from negative or non-constructive posting or derailing the thread. Thanks.

LVL FIRST AID, I DONT CARE IF YOU CAN HEAL YOURSELF LVL FIRST AID

Good advice. I was level 40 before I thought, "hey, I forgot to even level this." It's useful in both PvE and PvP.

I'd also suggest to level up cooking and fishing when you can as well. Professions such as First Aid, Cooking, and Fishing can all be taken even if you have two main professions such as Mining and Jewelcrafting already.

Stay away from the negativity that is the WoW forums, and you will be fine.

I think the alternate advice would be to be a part of the change in the forums. The more positive people and discussions we have, the better the atmosphere we get. :)
