Battle.net + WoW merge. Some questions.

I just merged my WoW account with my Battle.net account. I have a few questions though as I'm sort of in a strange situation and would like some confirmation from an actual Blizzard representative as I've seen some players respond to similar questions, but not sure if it's fact.

First situation: I forgot my secret question and answer on my WoW account and want it retrieved. The normal route would be to either go to www.blizzard.com/support and send an email through there or to simply call them. Now, before I go about doing so I am wondering if my Battle.net secret question and answer overrides the WoW account secret question and answer as I merged my WoW account already with my Battle.net account. I know my Battle.net secret question and answer and made sure to remember it unlike my WoW account one. So, if it overrides my WoW account secret question and answer then it's a plus on my end as I don't have to submit my personal ID and so-on.

Can anyone confirm this?

If it doesn't and there are in fact individual secret questions and answer, do I go about how I normally would to retrieve the secret question and answer information (like I mentioned earlier)?

Second situation: I have already merged 3 games to my Battle.net account and I feel secure about doing so as I know my secret question and answer, password, etc. All is well, except one thing. My first name on the Battle.net account is different than my legal first name though it is very similar. For example: Timothy Smith would be someone's legal name, but Tim Smith would be name they used during registration. Jeffrey and Jeff, William and Will, etc. Though my name isn't "common" in North America as I am asian, the same concept applies to the examples I've given. It is only the first name that I used the short version, the last name remains identical. Now, the questions:

Will this bring up any issues with account security?

Will I ever need to identify myself due to a security issue and will Blizzard have problems with identifying me due to not using my complete full legal first name, but rather a short version of it?

In what situations will I ever need to identify myself legally? Retrieval of information? What information specifically? Etc.

If this will be an issue, is it possible for me to change the Battle.net account first name to my legal first name?

Lastly, I have done the same with my WoW account, in other words, used a short version of my first name instead of my full legal first name. This falls back to the Battle.net account and WoW account merge.

Does this mean I need to change the first name of my WoW account or does the information override into my Battle.net account meaning I only change my Battle.net account first name, that is if it becomes necessary (which I asked earlier)?

Before I finish I just want to apologize for the bombardment of questions. I have a tendency to do that as I am quite curious as how this merging works and what information gets merged and what does not. Account security is especially a concern for me when dealing with merging of accounts and games much like Valve has done with Steam games. Anyways, thanks for reading and good luck in Ulduar!

Once a World of Warcraft account is merged with a Battle.net account, the Battle.net registration information takes precedence. As such the secret question and answer for your Battle.net account will normally be used instead of your World of Warcraft one.

In regards to the name on your account being a short version of your full name, it would probably be best to see if we can help update the name to make sure that it will not cause any issues in the future. While a name change is not guaranteed, if you contact the Billing department by phone we should be happy to investigate the matter and provide any available options.

If we are able to correct the name on your Battle.net account, the name registered to your World of Warcraft account should also be updated in the process. I hope this answers your questions, Boxxybabee, but if I missed anything, please let me know.

Q u o t e:
It seems like nobody has a definite answer as to how this merge goes. I guess I will have to call in to find out or at least get some sort of answer to this mess...

I'm sorry if I misunderstood or missed one of your questions, Boxxy. If you would clarify what I may have overlooked I would be happy to see if I can provide you with more information.
