Do blue's tell their guilds...?

Do blue's tell their guilds that they're blues? I mean, I would assume not, as anonymity is probably a good thing to hold on to when trying to "experience the game as a regular player," but I was just curious. That is, IF blue's actually play the game like they say they do.

Kidding.

...maybe this is best left unanswered? :P

Nope, we don't tell people we work for Blizzard. It would just cause issues if we did.

Though we do experience the game as regular players... For example, Zarhym and I spent the majority of last night wiping in Ulduar.

We're in the same guild. Shhhhhh!!! Don't tell anyone!

So are you guys always the ones that know how to do the fight then, right off the bat? Or do you feign ignorance when dealing with Progression?

Yes, we... feign... ignorance. Yes, that's what happens.

Totally. Everything that happened last night was exactly as I expected at every moment, if not pre-planned.

Do you feel like superheros? With this whole secret identity that you can't tell those you you spend the most time with?

....and, does part of you get Erk'ed when they insult Blizzard?

Kind of, except without any powers... and if we told people they'd just make fun of us.

As far as insults... we're kind of used to it. Sometimes we play along. It's terrible, I know.

I can understand why you guys don't mention you work for Blizzard, but I kinda think it would be cool to be a fly on the wall for a raid you guys were involved in. I don't know why but many developers I've encountered tend to get amped about playing (even if it's a game they've been working on) and that excitement on their part is infectious.

Usually people run away when I start singing in vent.

Kinda random i know :)

Another question, do you guys raid like 25 mans or mostly ten man, kinda curious, cause it seems like you guys are extremely busy to be a part of a full "serious" guild?

Our guild isn't big enough for 25 mans, though we got away with inviting other friends and tried-and-true players for 25-player Naxx. I have a feeling it'll be a while before we give heroic Ulduar a go. There are other Blizzard folks in other guilds on our realm, so there's always the possibility of doing joint guild raids.

What I want to know is if they've ever had to hit guildmates with the banhammer on the forums, and what they were thinking when they did it :P

Yup, the whipping boy must die at least once and ruin our chances at Immortal or Undying or it wouldn't be a proper run.

Fascinating. It's like your gods that have willingly cast themselves into mortal form out of a need to feel pain, suffering and true happiness. Meanwhile, your guildmates long for the powers you have cast aside, ignorant that they are in the very presence of those beings they envy.

Oh, the irony.

Um, nah. We wish that it was like that though. Instead, it's more like we're just normal people who happen to not be able to tell people where we really work.

From what I can tell there is enough information in this thread that your guildmates would know who you are.

It's much like a good fortune teller. Give enough information to be specific, but still make it general enough that everyone can relate in some way.
