Removing Authenticator from account

In the 4+ years that I've been in the game, I never had an issue with losing or someone stealing my account information. I am very careful with the websites that I visit and try to keep my antivirus and spyware detectors updated and my system clean.

Anyway, I decided that it would be a good idea to get an Authenticator just to add an extra layer of security (and peace of mind) to my account. My main concern is, if for any circumstance, if I would lose the authenticator or it would malfunction or get damaged, how would I go about getting it removed from my account and how difficult would the process be?

Thanks for being such a devoted World of Warcraft player, Keriam! It is awesome to hear you have kept your account safe for over 4 years. :)

Having a Authenticator attached to the account is an excellent way to protect yourself if the unforeseen happens and I applaud you for wanting to get one.

If for some reason the authenticator is damaged or malfunctions you will need to contact Billing & Account Services to get the device removed. Upon proper verification, the authenticator will be removed, and you will once again be back in game.
