Account Suspension/Closure

I understand that this may not be the appropriate place in terms of having any actions taken to resolve the suspension, however I am looking for clarification as none has been adequately provided thus far.

At roughly 9PM CST today, in the middle of my guild's Ulduar raid, my account was suspended for 72 hours. The email I received almost 20 minutes after the fact is as follows:

Q u o t e:
Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation - Economy Exploitation

After a thorough investigation, we have found that a player of the account listed above participated in activities designed to gain an unfair advantage in the World of Warcraft economy.

These activities violate the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask that you take a moment to review these terms at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html.

You may not perform any acts that we consider to be damaging to World of Warcraft. A stable economy is essential for any realm to be successful. Any attempts to manipulate the economy in exploitive ways can have a large negative impact on many players.

Approximately 10 minutes after, the 72 hour suspension was elevated to a full account closure. What I did was purchased 3 Glyph of Dancing Rune Weapon from the Orgrimmar Auction House and by way of the Neutral AH in Booty Bay moved them to my DK on the Alliance side. These are not as of yet available on the Alliance side on my server. One I used for myself, another I gave to a member of my guild for their Alt DK, the third was originally intended for another member but they remained Unholy and had no such need. So I sold the third one to another DK who was grateful because they could not find any prior. To facilitate more alliance members, I purchased more from the Neutral AH (directly, not transferring via horde alts) and re-posted them on the Alliance AH.

Hardly a terrible offense at all, especially considering the consequences laid down upon me, as someone who has played since release day, with two accounts to my name and never in this time have I -ever- violated the TOS.

What I am looking for is clarity on what in there constitutes a violation in the TOS. Enabling members of my faction to have easy access to items. I'm not gouging on the prices or scamming or using any other means to rip anyone off.

Please clarify. I have submitted a request for an appeal to the wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com email address and am awaiting a response.

Lorixi, would you mind providing me the name, and realm of a character on the account in question? A random alt will do just fine.

Thank you for the response.

You are welcome.

Unfortunately, I'll be unable to provide any specifics regarding this matter; however, if you contact our Account Administration department — if you've not already done so — they'll be able to look into the issue and address your concerns for you.

That goes for anyone presently in this situation.

Is there any methods in place to have this issue escalated in any way shape or form?

Contacting our Account Administration department via e-mail (WoWAccountAdmin@Blizzard.com) is the only method of addressing this concern.

funny, thats about the same time blizz said that you couldent do this... moving things from faction to faction has always been a violation of the ToS

reading is FUNdamental

There is a difference between being unsupported, and against the rules, Aazznuzien.

This is not a supported practice, using the neutral AH in that fashion may be risky - but it's not against the rules.

Those that desire to have their accounts reviewed need to email Account Administration at wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com and they will be happy to review the case.

ok, you got me with the technics. i was citing precedent from back in the day when people were exploting a certian addon at the neutral ah's. as i recall the official blizard standpoint was: you shouldent be doing that anyways.

no skin off my butt really, i dont smuggle things across the border =P

Well, hence - the unsupported and risky part :)
