Problem with custom chat channel

Some friends and I from different guilds have set up our own custom chat channel in order to easily chat with each other and see who is online and whatnot even though we aren't in the same guild.

Since the patch, however, I've been having issues with the chat channel, and so far it doesn't seem like anyone else who frequents the chat channel is having these issues. I've disabled all my addons and still have these issues so I've come here to see if anyone know's what's up.

Prior to the patch, whenever I left the game and came back, I would still be in the chat channel. Since the patch, I have to rejoin the channel every time I start the game up. It seems to leave me connected when I simply logout and come back.

Prior to the patch, when I pulled up the social window and switched to the chat tab, I would be able to see how many other people were in my chat channel. Under the Custom heading, it would say ChannelName (# in chan). Now it simply says ChannelName.

Prior to the patch, when I had previously had the chat tab selected as the tab in the social window, and my custom channel selected, when I'd reopen the social window it would re-open to the chat tab and show me the list of everyone in my custom channel. Now I have to select a different chat channel and then reselect my custom chat channel to see this. Additionally, if I leave the window open and switch zones, the list disappears and I have to select a different chat channel and then reselect my custom chat channel to see the list.

As I've said, all this is still happening with all my addons disabled, and it seems to be happening across the board with all my characters.

Was this ever answered? I've also noticed this and have yet to find a solution.

As was recommended above, disabling addons may not be enough in the case of a UI issue. I'd recommend trying a full reset.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.

More detailed instructions for different operating systems, including Macs are here.
