Paid Character Transfer Delays

We’ve implemented a possible resolution which we believe may alleviate those delays you've been experiencing and allow transfers to complete in a more timely manner.

In order to determine the success of this possible resolution, we hope to gather information from you. After the current Paid Character Transfer service maintenance is complete and all realms are back online, please let us know if you are still experiencing delays. I will be monitoring this thread actively and relaying all feedback provided to our technicians.

Please note that we do not yet consider this issue resolved and thus continue to work hard to get you all back in the game. We are truly very sorry for any frustration that might have been caused by this issue, though, and are deeply appreciative of the information you've all continued to provide. Thank you so much.

We believe we've identified a possible source of this issue and are working towards resolution at this time. While we've presently no ETA to provide, please know that we wish to get you back in the game ASAP and will work to keep you abreast of any changes or updates in progress.

We are currently investigating delays in the Paid Character Transfer Service, and have informed the appropriate parties of the extended delays that have been reported throughout the Customer Service Forum. More information regarding this issue will be provided in this thread as it becomes available.

In an effort to keep all pertinent information in a single thread, we must humbly request that you keep all discussion of Paid Character Transfer delays isolated in this thread.

You have our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused as a result of this issue. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we monitor this issue.

While we've only received isolated reports regarding delays affecting Free Character Moves, Raydric, all information has been forwarded and remains under investigation. At this time, however, this appears largely a PCT issue.

If any new information were available, we would provide it. We've absolutely no reason to withhold such from you, as we sincerely care about your experiences and wish to preserve them as best as possible.

This is incorrect, but I do understand why you may hold such a perspective. We've actually technicians on staff and on-call all hours of the day—including Sundays. :)

This issue was indeed under investigation by our technicians yesterday, Charheals. As a result of such an investigation, we're now working towards resolution. No ETA as of yet, but progress has and is still being made.

Hey all, as non-update update: Our technicians remain active in their endeavors to resolve Paid Character Transfer delays. Unfortunately, we do not yet have an ETA to provide; however, we are making every effort to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Many of you have noted that your transfers have completed—this is awesome, and I thank you so much for your reports. We understand there are still of number of you affected by delays, though; we're very sorry for any inconvenience this is posing and so continue to pursue global resolution. We want all of you back in the game and playing as desired.

As always, once we've any new information to provide, we'll do so herein. Thank you all for keeping this thread on-topic and civil, and for the feedback and patience you've provided and shown these days past. It's very much appreciated.

I emphatize with your frustration wholly, Saelina, and do not fault you for wishing to express it herein. You are welcome to continue doing so, as well, so long as the conversation remains civil.

With that said, issues which affect our Paid Character Transfer service are often compounded, as multiple resources are involved. Resolution may thus take time to reach globally. And while we are seeing many transfers going through—a sign of progress—we are still continuing our work and will continue to do so until all pending transfers are complete.

That's certainly the hope, Nightxmarez. We understand that this possible resolution may not postively impact all players affected, though, and so remain receptive to any and all reports we receive.

Please keep me updated on the status of your character transfers following the conclusion of web and realm maintenance. I'll ensure that such information gets relayed to our technicians immediately.

Roger that, everyone. Can each of you provide me the following information so that I may relay it on?

    Transferred character name and realm
    Time transfer was initiated
    Current total of hours in queue (approximate)


It's possible that these current delays are simply related to the number of requests in queue, but I'd like to remain cautious for the time being and treat this as a potential extention of the primary issue.

I am happy to inform everyone that the transfers continue to be processed appropriately; however, it may simply take some time for all of them to be processed.

We will continue to keep an eye on the situation and ensure that no other issues arise regarding the matter.
