Character name change problems

Every time I try to use the name change service, it tells me that the name is unavailable. However, I know that it IS available, because I can create and delete new characters with that name all day long.

I'll provide more detail if it helps:
Over 90 days ago, I changed one character's name to another name for the purpose of later giving that old name to another character of mine. Since names are locked for 90 days after a name change, I had to wait until roughly yesterday. After confirming that the name was indeed available by creating a character (previously trying to create a character by the locked name would fail with the "unavailable" error), I deleted the character, and tried to use the name change service. It kept saying the name is unavailable. I would repeatedly log back on and successfully create a new character by that name. For some reason it is just the name changing that doesn't work.

Would anyone be able to help with this issue? Thanks

There is a known issue with the Paid Character Name Change service at this time which does cause some people to get the Invalid or Name Unavailable notice.

If you clear your cookies and temporary internet files and continue to receive this message I would recommend calling our Billing department directly for assistance as they can attempt to process the Name Change over the phone with you :)
