I truly puzzles me why this 'fad' seems to come and go, or really why folks seem to think it so funny, but that's another discussion.
Yes, please do use report spam on these. That's normally reserved to report advertisers, but when this fad first took off we were given special dispensation to use it for this as well.
Those are indeed examined and appropriate actions are taken.

The problem is we the customers weren't told what it can be used for. When people are using trade for looking for group or advertising their guild I report them for spam as well.
The function is called Report Spam, Shoap, you use it to Report Spam. Seems clear enough. O.o
