The aftermath after BG in 3.1

So we can enter BG from anywhere awsome, puts me right back where i left off in my quest or even on the taxi even better. (though the taxi seems to forget exactly where you paid to go) One thing that has me worried though and this doesnt much apply to PvP servers is the fact that the PvP flag CD thats in effect when a BG ends still applies. This could be 100% intended or just a small over sight but magicly getting dropped off in northrend after a BG flagged for PvP for 5 minutes is not so the nicest thought. Anyone else have any thought on this? Any feed back from blizzard (a Blue) would be nice.

This is intended. If you join a battleground queue while on a flight path, you will be sent to a default location when the match ends. There were technical limitations rendering it difficult to send people back on their flight path when leaving a battleground. In my personal opinion, it's probably best to just wait until you are no longer in flight to join a match.

It is true. The functionality with PvP flags and battlegrounds has not changed since we've implemented the "queue from anywhere" feature. Players on PvE realms who exit a battleground will remain PvP-flagged for 5 minutes, regardless of whether they joined the battle while in a town, city, or out in the world.

We see it as a reasonable compromise. If you look at it from a pre-3.1 perspective, leaving a capital city to quest after exiting a battleground would mean you'd be PvP-flagged unless you made the choice to wait out the flag. The same applies, though you're now able to queue from anywhere. The convenience of queuing from anywhere could leave you vulnerable when you return to the world, so it's best to take this into consideration before joining a battleground.
