Undocumented Character Changes/Bugs

After 3.1 I noticed some strange changes made to female troll faces and female orc piercings.

Here is a "before" screenshot of a troll face I made for this thread (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=5461907205&postId=161360295635&sid=1#197) in an effort to illustrate improvements that could be made should Blizzard see fit to remove much of the warts and facial scarring that have beset every female troll who chooses not to pick the "pretty face":

The shadows around her eyes are missing and because female trolls (besides the "pretty face") don't have eyelids, her eyes simply look like shiny buttons pressed into the mashed potato mess that is her face. The character creation screen still shows proper shadows around their eyes:

This has affected every female troll face including the "pretty one". Unfortunately I have very few screenshots of my female trolls from before, but there has been a change. I've rolled a female troll of every face to check it out in-game with a variety of different skintones and it remains consistently different from before 3.1.

What baffles me is that of all the changes Blizzard could have made--rounding out the troll earrings, smoothing the line between their ears and head, fixing the blatant gaps in hairstyles, smoothing out the pockmarks/warts/scars in their skin, giving them the ability to blink said nonexistent eyelids--they chose to do this, which if anything makes certain troll faces look worse.

Another far more obvious funny thing happened to my female orc. Her piercings are suddenly red. Here she is before 3.1:

Now my question is, is anyone else experiencing these "graphical glitches"? I have messed with my settings, removed my addons, done the whole song and dance to see if this is merely on my end to no avail. If it they are indeed glitches/undocumented changes I'd like some confirmation. At the very least I'd like my orc's piercings to be the right color. :/
