Tired of the $$

The game is a grind enough to get the gear and beat instances. I'm kinda getting sick of Blizz charging so much for every addition they put out. 1000g to use dual spec? Pay a butt load to fly at 70, next patch you can't fly in Northrend until you pay 1000g. Epic mount, please.

I'd rather be plying the game, not farming just so I can use the talent patch. And for your alts? 1000g for each. Spending time for gear, and even the mount seems plausible, but for a new function in the game, damn...

Next your mount will be Epic Epic and it'll cost 100g everytime you mount...gotta keep us farming cash. No wonder "Susan" stays in business, Blizz does there promoting for them.

Never said NEED. BUt when a new patch comes out where they actually change the game (Dual Spec), I kinda expected to not have to pay for it. It's not a new item to quest for, it's just a game function...imagine if they put in queuing for a BG from anywhere (like they did) but charged you 100g each time you used it.

It's be just as stupid as adding Dual Spec, then charging 1000g for it. :)

Having dual talent specializations is incredibly useful, though not necessary by any means. Luxuries like this always come at a price.

Yes, because it's not possible to think of a creative, fun and challenging quest line to get the luxuries.

It's possible to do a lot of things, though I'm not sure how compelling and challenging a quest line would be that would work for players between levels 40-80. In this case we felt it warranted a gold cost and made it so.

Wasn't the point of dual spec to not punish people for wanting to spec in both PVP and PVE? oh well.

Not necessarily, though it does afford players the opportunity to keep PvP and PvE specializations simultaneously if that's one's preference.

Wouldn't a gold cost of 1000 negate part of the point? Other than changing on the fly, I thought part of the complaint was shelling out gold every time.

From the very first time we ever mentioned working on this feature, we noted that an upfront cost would replace the need to constantly pay to switch between two specializations. Granted, some players have shelled out a lot of money switching specializations in the past. There's no way to track that. So what you have now is a way of paying an upfront cost to keep two specializations, sets of glyphs, and action bars that you can switch between virtually anywhere while not in combat, battlegrounds, or arenas.
