Noticed something about custom character

Its stated, very plainly, that race changes are not included in the changes which we can perform on our characters.

I was just wondering why this was, I would certainly make use of this feature if this were the case.
Seeing as its a paid for feature, I doubt youd see constantly changing characters. And adding some form of CD to the race change would further prevent this.

Mainly though, I was wondering if this has been addressed (as in what reason was given) and why it would be a bad idea (if blizzard thought it was viable they probably would have done it)

so then yall would say that this will never ever become a feature and if I wanted a toon im levelling a different race im better off rerolling as opposed to waiting for this to become a feature? I was going to hold out, seeing all the changes we've seen of late (who ever would have thought we'd have dual spec around the time BC was launched) but I dont mind really.

When character re-customization was initially in development there was some discussion about race changes, however, as others have noted in this thread, we felt that the choice of race has deeper ties to the experiences you've had in game and can directly change the way your character is played. You'll note also that a paid race change would be limited to the races eligible for your class, which doesn't really feel like a full service feature.

There are no plans at the moment to add paid race changes to the re-customization feature in the future.

I never said anything about game balance. Regardless, they could change every racial to an ability which shoots a color from the rainbow and people would still complain that humans got orange while they are stuck with green.

lol.

That is kind of awesome. :)

You'll almost never get a straight yes/no from Zarhym or any other moderator. It's a Public Relations trick for whenever they waffle on certain issues.

At this time we believe waffles are delectable treats and have no current intent to switch to pancakes.
