Why is GC so aggressive to casters?

Seriously, it seems that whenever he posts in a caster complaint thread he has a really hostile attitude towards us.

In all seriousness, GC, could you be a little bit more professional? You're insulting a lot of your players right now - people who feel they have legitimate concerns seem to be worthy of your scorn. That's unfortunate, but it's probably beneath you. You're a developer, and we're your customers. You don't need to kiss our butts, but I think that a token amount of respect would be in order.

There are several threads accusing me personally of nerfing casters because I like melee better (ignoring the fact that all of our design decisions are made by the consensus of developers who know this game very, very well). I don't think my responding with a very sarcastic comment qualifies as "insulting a lot of players right now." In fact, plenty of players are insulting me, but I don't let that bother me and I don't retaliate. I do make sarcastic comments.

I could tell you I play a warlock, which I do, but you'd question my understanding of the mechanics or accuse me of deception or something anyway. Alas.

I found a decent thread and responded to warlock concerns there in a straight-forward manner. But even the very best threads are not always going to get responses. That's just not a realistic expectation to have for us.

My advice (which you didn't ask for): try not to take nerfs personally. Assume that they were made with the intent of making WoW better, even if in your heart of hearts you feel they were mistakes. Don't get mad at other players who "got your class nerfed." Don't accuse us of incompetence, ignorance or malice because you don't like the change. It's perfectly fine to not like the change. These forums would be very sparsely populated if they were nothing but praise for our design. :)

Besides, more comments in this thread seemed to get the joke than appear to have been offended.

I saw the joke for what it was but i do agree that it appears to trivales players concerns,
but it still not a answer or addresses the classes concerns

This is a thread on "being hostile to casters." I don't really think that's the kind of class concern that a lot of people were dying for an answer to. (If you were, then the answer is no, we are not hostile to casters.)

It was a silly thread and I responded with a silly answer. I don't make ridiculous replies to good threads, though often I do not have the bandwidth to reply at all.

You make a lot of references to bandwidth in your posts. Mostly "I don't have enough of it".
Do you use it because "I don't have time to respond to everyone" would sound whiny?

IMO "bandwidth" makes it sound like I'm busy (which I am). "Time" makes it sound like I am too important to spend time here and that communication is an afterthought, which sounds elitist. Words can mean slightly different things to different people.

No you don't. If you do, please explain why Blizzard's approach to the class from 3.0.2 onward has been a series of mis-steps...
