Missing Quests?

Upon logging on after the 3.1 patch, I've noticed many of the quests that were in my log the day before are now missing. The quests are still in game, and available from the NPC. Has anyone else experienced this? I searched around and could not find a similar issue, nor a potential resolution.

Does it appear as though these quests were dropped completely from character? That is, are they again available from their respective NPCs?Or do they simply appear to not displaying or displaying incorrectly within your Quest Log?

May I ask for each of you to reset your UI fully and then report back your results?
Q u o t e:
1) *IMPORTANT* Exit the World of Warcraft to your desktop by logging out of the game and exiting. If World of Warcraft isn't closed, then these steps won't have the desired effect.
2) If you used an "installer" for a custom UI, see if it has an "uninstaller" and use it.
3) Inside the World of Warcraft Program Folder, delete the "WTF," "Cache," and "Interface" folders.
4) Restart your computer.
5) Please do not reinstall Addons prior to testing the issue you were experiencing.
6) Make sure that you are using WOW.EXE or LAUNCHER.EXE to start the game. Please do not run any UI installers beforehand, as we want to eliminate them as part of the issue.
7) Upon launching the game, you should see the Intro cinematic movie and be prompted to agree to the Terms of Use. Once you authenticate past the login screen, the “AddOns” button should no longer be visible at the lower left corner of the character selection screen. Both points mentioned previously must hold true if you should complete the aforementioned steps correctly.

The scripted reload UI command will not reset your UI fully. Please complete those steps I've provided so that we may continue to troubleshoot from a clean interface. :)

Can those of you who reset your UI completely provide me an understanding of what quests appear to be missing at this time? Daily quests, instance quests, repeatable quests, etc. :)

Understood, gents. Thank you. :)

General question: Did any of you, prior to this patch, use any quest-assisting AddOns?

For those of you noting remaining quest items in your inventory: If you reaccept each associated quest, what happens? Do you receive a duplicate item? Are you able to accept the quest?

Another question for the masses!

Those quests missing: Were any of them in progress or completed, or were they all newly accepted with no objectives finished?

Hey guys. Looking back on the quests that have gone astray, are there any correlations between the quests themselves and the continent (or more specifically the zone) you were in?

Q u o t e:

The two quests that were still my quest log were from the zone I was in (Winterspring).
The quests I lost were some from the zone I was in, but most were from somewhere else.

Zone, how about continent, Pedemeia?

Do any of you happen to still have a quest item on you, one that is associated with the quest that has since gone missing?

Q u o t e:
I still had all the quest items. For example Dark Armor. Or Lorehammer.

Ei, did you already try picking the quests back up?

What I need is someone who still has the quest item, and the quest is still currently missing.

Alright, Inspec and Orell, so I do not have to go through every item in your bags, can you tell me a single item that is tied to a quest that you know you still have. I just need the name of one item, please.

Thank you both, very much.

Verdant Torch (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37306) for Destroy the Sappling (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=12241)
Drakuru's Elixir (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35797) for Cleansing Drak'Tharon (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=12238)

Cool deal, Noreav! Sit tight for me, please. Do not try to pick those quests up again, just yet.

Actually, Noreav. Would you be willing to log into this character for me? Upon looking you up, I noticed that you were not even in-game right now. >.<

Let me know if this is possible.

Alright everyone. We are in the process of pushing something through that should resolve this issue. Please understand that this may take some time, but that it should return the quests to your logs. At this time, I would refrain from trying to re-accept the quest, just to be sure to not interfere with the process.

I’ll be sure to update you more when I get any information. If I have any follow-up questions, I’ll be sure to bring them up here, too. :0)

As I am sure you all are aware by now, this issue should be resolved at this time. Any and all quests that were previously missing should have since been returned, and available to complete.

Thank you all for your help in gathering information.
