Mage patch changes a bust. forums understaff

I was looking over the patch changes and i noticed that non of the goodies that where promised where delivered on ie:

* "We are also working on a way to give frost mages Ice Lance 'Shatter combos' in PvE."
* "We are also working on more survivability for Fire spec in PvP."
* "We are also working on making Spirit a more useful and interesting stat for all mages."

and that supposedly the patch is to be released on April 14, (today)

This leads me to assert that somewhere along the line communication btw mages and developers became as bad as star wars galaxies (and if you don't know what I'm talking about try looking into how badly the game did after pissing of its clientele)

Now look at the patch notes below and tell me how many of these changes are "fun" and "exciting" content additions.

# Arcane Blast stacking effect is no longer considered a Magic effect and will not be dispelled.(fixed buff)
# Mage Armor: Now grants 50% of mana regeneration while casting. (spirit regen significantly diminished)
# Mirror Image: The images no longer cast Polymorph.
# Molten Armor: Chance to critically strike is now increased by a percentage of the mage's total spirit.(dps loss)
# Talents

* Arcane
o Arcane Meditation: Now grants 17/33/50% of mana regeneration while casting. (spirit mana regen greatly diminished)
* Fire
o Ignite: The damage done by this talent no longer receives modifications from effects that increase or decrease damage done by a percentage. (talent fix)
o Improved Scorch: Increased critical strike chance is now 1%, down from 2% per application of the Improved Scorch effect. In addition, the critical strike chance of Scorch, Fireball, and Frostfire Bolt is increased by 1/2/3%. (nerf)
o Pyromaniac: Now grants 17/33/50% of mana regeneration while casting. (Spirit like before is broken)
*Frost

* Improved Water Elemental: Renamed Enduring Winter. Instead of the Water Elemental increasing mana regeneration for the mage's party, casting Frostbolt now has a 33/66/100% chance to provide the Replenishment buff to up to 10 people in the mage's party or raid. (spirit to mp5 to prevent ANOTHER nerf!)
* Winter's Chill: Increased critical strike chance is now 1%, down from 2% per application of Winter's Chill. In addition, the critical strike chance of Frostbolt is increased by 1/2/3%.
(dps loss)

And now the undocumented changes...

# Burnout now only affects Fire spells (previously affected all spells). (nerf to frost fire mages)
# Polymorph: Rabbit (new ability) - Transforms the enemy into a harmless rabbit, forcing it to scamper around for up to 50 sec. While wandering, the rabbit cannot attack or cast spells but will regenerate very quickly. Any damage will transform the target back into its normal form. Only one target can be polymorphed at a time. Only works on beasts, humanoids, and critters. (< This is just stupid)

so before anyone brings up QQ in...

vast majority of mages hate the patch notes,

the are reminiscent of sunwell, there is NO GM on the mage forums

and you haven't delivered on ANYTHING.

you gave us new content in WotLK so that after ppl lvled to 80 people would hold out and hope for new content just to get stabbed in the back patch after patch.

so please if you have the balls to respond please tell me I'm unrealistic and show the entire forum how full of BS you game developers are.

As for mr. Crabs non of this is directed at you your doing your job and i know you hate it when people shoot the messenger. To be honest if you weren't the only gm on the forum you wouldn't have to deal with half the garbage the head office forces you to deal with.

Thanks, but I'm not a CM. I am the guy in charge of the team that made all of these changes that you don't like. :)

As we have said a dozen times recently, the previews of stuff we were working on were not promises of changes you would absolutely see. We decided against some of the changes, and delayed making other changes to future content.

We don't spend much time making comments in the class forums. These role forums are our primary place to communicate with players on issues of mechanics or balance. The class forums are for players to have discussions with each other.

I'm not sure where your bunny hate is coming from.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to clarify any of this in your current banned state. Figure out a way to make posts with out all the name-calling and Blizzard hate and you might get a better response.
