Economy Exploitation? Perma-Banned?

My friend and I decided to start a Recruit-A-Friend account because it was the fastest way for him to play with me and my other level 80's. I invited him and we leveled our characters together. This was less than two months ago. Now he's banned for "Economy Exploitation" for NO reason and he just wasted over $100 on a game that he didn't even get to play for 3 months. I won't even see my Zhevra Mount.

I'd like to know where this is in the TOS. I can't find it anywhere. I taught him how to level his professions, he ran heroics like crazy with me once we hit level 80, he farmed for his epic flying mount while I was moving and could not play WoW at level 67. I'd like to know how he could get banned if he was not botting/buying gold/selling gold/buying low, selling high in the AH.

I don't understand. I see people who manipulate the AH 24/7 and they do not get banned(Kind of obvious when they don't move from the AH for hours on end). I have friends on another server who's entire guild has Mecho-hogs because one person manipulates the AH, why aren't they banned?! My friend farms for his epic flying and gets banned?

It has nothing to do with the AH. Its for gold buying/selling and/or powerlevelling. If your friend did none of these, he was probably hacked and someone is using his account for the above or it looks like he may be. He needs to contest it with Account Administration and check the safety of his account.

This is all true. If he KNOWS he did nothing to break the rules, chances are very good he has an infection on his system and he's been compromised.
