Why is blizzards wow site so slow now?

This is primarily due to the fact that the realms are down, and scores of players fear not the idea of creating a thread about any imaginable topic, not to mention all the troll posts just being contrary.

An example of an extraneous thread created just to dump more oil in the ocean of the general forum...
