Dear Blizzard -

I'm writing this complaint as a sort of blanket complaint related to the prevalence of talk related to criminal activity, drugs, drug trafficking, in one case a claim of murder, discussions of child <removed>, sodomy, etc., etc. that is really reaching the point of becoming completely out of hand on the servers. It seems to dominate 80% or more of communications in WoW at various times.

It's usually only certain guilds/people that do these things and I have no idea how much of it is true or not, and I certainly don't want to see Blizzard become the "censorship police" ...

... but come on, is this really what WoW is supposed to be about?

Can't you guys at least post some guidelines somewhere that state open discussions about doing drug deals and abusing children / etc. is at least frowned upon?

I don't have the time to moderate a six page thread full of questionable content, so I will be deleting it.

I wanted to make it clear before I did that no, World of Warcraft is absolutely not about the unsavory things you mentioned, and in fact, we take a very strong stand against speech and behavior suggestive of your more egregious examples.

If ever you see another player making reference to doing harm to children, sex acts, drug abuse, etc. please feel free to report them to us via an in-game petition. When you do, please include the offending character's name and realm, and what they said. Our staff will be more than happy to investigate and deal with the situation appropriately.

I will delete this thread in a few minutes.
