Argent Tournament - Taurens are ashamed.

I asked/suggested this a couple of weeks ago. I assume it fell on deaf ears.

PLEASE slightly alter the graphic for the Tauren banner! Please.

It's so incredibly sad and ugly.
It sags.
It's the only banner that does so.
The color scheme and icon are kind of bleh too, I think I might could have done better being an amateur graphic artist, but I suppose they are okay and are 'tauren-y'.
But the sag??
PLEASE guys!

I have no choice but to champion my race, but the tauren tabard, and ESPECIALLY our banner are so horrible looking compared to the rest, I have zero desire to do so.

Who wants to whip out their banner and plant it, when it is pathetic looking compared to everyone elses.

Please please please slightly change the tauren banner at least. We can live with the bleh tabard, but the banner is really underwhelming.

So, in conclusion please change the tauren banner that sags in shame.
Please.

We tauren thank you.

Taurens are proud of their simple but very honorable heritage. End of line.

Q u o t e:
What is the point of the banners in the Tournament anyway?

If you are asking this question they probably aren't for you, but there are players out there who will find ways to enjoy themselves by throwing down a city banner - whether it's just for fun or as a show of domination, it should be good times... assuming they aren't throwing it on your corpse, in which case, not good times for you, but you get the idea.

Oh, so they don't have any effect like the Horde/Alliance and Frostwolf/Stormpike banners? Oh well.

Correct, no extra effect - but if memory serves the new ones are a lot bigger to give you more "umph" when throwing them down.

Just asking man, I do not know what the event is all about. Just read it on MMO champion and seems fun. Was just asking what it was for.

It's a new permanent event we are adding to the game to give players more things to do. Story-wise the Argent Crusade is setting up this tournament for everybody to test their skills against one another before joining forces to battle the Scourge.

Gameplay-wise there are new daily quests to do along with mounted combat. You will gain ranks as you continue to do the daily quests and be able to become a champion of the city factions (Orgrimmar, Ironforge, etc.). At this champion rank you will gain a currency that allows you to purchase new items like the banners, non-combat pets, mounts, and gear. Oh and you can get city rep through the tournament so you can get like exalted with Thunder Bluff without farming runecloth -- titles like "of Thunder Bluff" come along with this through the tournament.

We will have a preview up in the near future with more details too.

Holy Cow, that IS ugly!!! I totally get what you mean by 'sag'. It looks like a bag that has lost its shape and was hung into the deepest darkest corner of your closet, only to be forgotten there =(

WTB Tauren Banner that reflects our Tauren Pride!!!

Yes, I am sure that as a tauren, seeing/using something that looks like an animal hide really shocks you. Do you want more magic crystals instead? :)

So if I earn the banner. And lets say I gank someone in the Outlands, will I be able to throw the Banner on them? Or is it just usable in the tournment area.

Nothing would more cruel than for a BE pally to gank me and place a Silvermoon flag on me.

Currently there are no restrictions on location. They all have a shared 3 minute cooldown so you can't throw down 5 banners in a row, but they last for 3 minutes each, so likely instead of a corpse it will have just a skeleton under it most of the time (in your scenario).

Thanks for the idea! Muahaha

Gnomes should enjoy this the most since the banner is about 4 times their height.

So your saying it should be easy to spot those sneaky little gnome rogues with the huge banners hovering around in mid-air as they try to give me a backstab!! :)

Well the banners you place on the ground and then they don't move. They don't stick out of your back or something like that... unless of course you have your squire/gruntling around to hold the flag, then it will be easy to see.

Speaking of squires, can we PLEASE be able to leash our squires? Isn't he considered a pet? I'm afraid he'll run away due to....my tough love.

In my squire/gruntling testing on the PTR the guy was a ninja and kept up with me anywhere I went. He fell behind when I was on my epic flying mount but he did a relatively good job on keeping up even on that.
