As for me, this guy was based off Cyrus from Chrono Trigger. My other main Cuintar the Warlock was named after a character someone gave me in my first MMO - Nexus Kingdom of the Winds.

Nethaera - aka Of the Nether. I chose the candle due to their mutiple meanings depending on whether you view them as casters of light or casters of shadow. They are used reverently or irreverently both, are romanticized, and are seen as a symbol of knowledge.
