Ok first off I just wanna ask why everyone is telling me I'm not giving them the full story. THIS IS IT! THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO SAY. I DONT BUY GOLD FROM ANY WEBSITES, I DONT USE ANY BOTS OR ANYTHING. WHY ARE U PEOPLE ARE STUPID. and as for the don't post this here, I could care less, It wouldn't let me post it in the tech support, customer support or any other forum. I've replied to all e-mails, called, and done everything and still I have no answers. This is the full story what else are u expecting to hear? Blizzard's vague reason for banning me is hardly convincing that they have grounds to ban me. I put things in the auction house and make money, thats all. I DONT BOT, DONT DO ANYTHING AGAINST TOS. Tell me what in here is against the ToS. This is the entire story.

Stop telling me I'm buying gold. I'm asking for a legit reason. I've never bought gold so all you people that think I have come up with a better answer before you tell me again what YOU THINK I DID but really didnt. Who buys gold? Gold is easy to get.

Account Action: Closure
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation - Economy Exploitation

After a thorough investigation, we have found that a player of the account listed above participated in activities designed to gain an unfair advantage in the World of Warcraft economy.

These activities violate the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask that you take a moment to review these terms at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html.

You may not perform any acts that we consider to be damaging to World of Warcraft. A stable economy is essential for any realm to be successful. Any attempts to manipulate the economy in exploitive ways can have a large negative impact on many players.

This World of Warcraft account has been closed by the Account Administration staff based on a review of the account and all related policy violations.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been playing Blizzard game since the days of RoC and I even bought 3 copies of D2 since patch 1.08 because I keep losing the cd's and one actually exploded in my disc drive, but in all I like Blizzard. I have bought Warcraft Battle Chest, D2 Battle Chest and 3 WoW CDs and have paid for 4 years of game play on WoW (I was called a nerd by a Night Elf hunter on Arthas because I said I've paid 500 dollars, you do realize this game is pay to play right? So shut the hell up and let the people with the real classes that actually know how to play talk and he tried to tell me the exact e-mail above couldn't be sent by Blizzard because that's directly from the ToS, he said I was too ashamed to tell the Arthas trade channel what really happened, right, like I care what other people think, you're a night elf hunter and you just proved it). So of course you can imagine I was pretty pissed when I woke up to find I had been banned simply because I was a "threat to the WoW economy" ... I'm a threat to a video game economy so I got perma banned.

I've never hacked, I've never flooded the AH with single items (I ALWAYS sell in stacks of ore and cloth, my only singles are essences and orbs which I only put up about 1 or 2 at a time). So I've never hacked, never botted, never AH botted, never exploited, never been banned, never violated ToS except for the ocassional language reports, but hey who doesn't WoW is rated Mature. So the only thing I can see happening is someone was mad I undercut them on the AH by 1 or 2g, which isn't a bannable offense, so they open a ticket, tell a GM I'm killing the WoW economy (let me reemphasize a VIDEO GAME ECONOMY), Blizzard didn't do a real investigation and thus I am permabanned.

I have another question. Why did I get banned for something that's not in the ToS? I took the time to read the ToS from top to bottom, it only mentions the word "Gold" once and in the context of 'You aren't allowed to scam someone out of gold, items, or other things that might be considered of importance". It also doesn't mention anything about the Auction House, WoW economy or being banned for having too much gold. No, the thing I was told to read and agree too has nothing in it about me being banned, in fact the only thing that has anything about me being banned is the WoW privacy policy. All it says, many times, is that I can't do anything damaging to the wow economy/items or a person. The privacy policy is on a completely different website, how many of us go privacy policy hunting every few weeks just to see what is updated. I never had to click agree to that, I never even saw that until the e-mail that said I got banned told me to go there to read it.

So, after examining all possible reasons I could be considered a threat to the economy, I want to know what no blizzard employee, tech support agent, GM or account admin could tell me: WHY EXACTLY DID I GET BANNED?

I want every penny I've ever spent on this game back, I was banned for using the Auction House too much. And if you decide to give me my account back, I want compensation for the waste of time you've caused me and time you took away on my already paid for account.

I just spent 250 dollars updating Vista to SP1, installing a brand new set of drivers, buying 1.5 more gigs of ram, and various other computer expenses just to play WoW. Not to mention when I bought my comp I paid to get it reformatted to XP so WoW would run which was another 150 dollars. I've paid over 600 dollars on World of Warcraft just to be banned for using the auction house too much. I have 5000g, that's how much an epic flying costs, I don't even have that much gold. I know people who have 15,000 gold, that play the AH more than I do. In fact, I only have 3800 on one guy, the other 1200 is on an alt that is still level 70 and I haven't used since November of 2008.

This is completely unfair. I want my account back.

Hey there, Vulcana--

Can you provide me with the name and realm of a character on the account in question so that I may look further into this?

Thanks!

I'm currently looking into this and will be providing a response as soon as I have had a moment to gather more information. In the meantime, however, I'll be locking the thread before it spirals even more out of control.

Thank you for your patience, Vulcana.
