At what point in this game did this become an acceptable attitude to Blizzard?

When did they decide that new players deserve to achieve the same rewards as a veteran that has paid their dues?

What made them decide to start rewarding whiners and giving them everything they ask for?

This game has become such a Mickey Mouse loot fest that all the things that made this game fun and exciting 2 or 3 years ago are completely non-existent.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the game used to be better I'm saying that the game used to be different. The way things used to be appealed far more to my(and a lot of other people's) play styles.

If Ulduar is a disappointment, if every time I turn around and see someone that plays my class and I feel like I'm looking in a mirror, if clearing raids every week feels like a CHORE, I'm done and never looking back.

I'm not giving up yet, I'm waiting to see what 3.1 brings. I love Blizzard and the things they're capable of, but god damn, I hope their next MMO is nothing like WoW has become.

Our goal has always been to make the game as accessible to as many players as possible. Our game is influenced by what we've learned from both our successes and our mistakes. Some of the "hardcore" elements of the past that some players think they now miss weren't even necessarily intended to be "hardcore", but rather ended up that way because a better way wasn't yet available.

Q u o t e:

Making the game accessible and dumbing it down to the point that a 5 year old could do it are 2 different things.

So are statements of fact and statements of exaggeration.
