DK Starter Quests Problem.

Not sure if this is the correct forum or not, if it isn't then by all means move it. I could use some help, though.

I'm trying to level my third Death Knight. Now, everything is fine until I get to the second question in the chain - The part where you find yourself a battle-worn sword and turn it into a Runeblade. Now, I pick up the battle-worn sword like normal, walk over to the runeforge and click on the battle-worn sword now sitting in my inventory.

Missing reagent: Battle-worn Sword.

Every time I click it, no matter where I'm standing.

I've already tried the following:
Deleted the WTF Folder and tried again.
Dropped the quest and picked it up again.
Re-rolled the Death Knight twice
Turned the game off for a few hours, tried again.
Contacted an in-game GM - Was told that after inspection the quest is working fine and I'm some sort of idiot for not knowing how to do it.

It's not fun. Anyone know anything? I can provide screens if so required.

Dalvur, I'm going to ask you to remain logged out of your character for a bit. I'll let you know when it's safe to log back in. :)

Alright, I was able to interact with the sword without issue, Dalvur.

To confirm: You're right-clicking on the item within your inventory while standing in front of a Runeforge? (I noted that you were in front of one already.) :)

Edit: Oh! And you're welcome to log back in now!

And that error message occurs when you right-click on the Battle-worn Sword within your inventory?

Apologies for my repetitive questions, Dalvur, I just wish to ensure that I understand your situation fully. :)

One more repetitive question! It'll appease the final category of my mental checklist. :)

You've followed these instructions exactly?
Q u o t e:
1) *IMPORTANT* Exit the World of Warcraft to your desktop by logging out of the game and exiting. If World of Warcraft isn't closed, then these steps won't have the desired effect.
2) If you used an "installer" for a custom UI, see if it has an "uninstaller" and use it.
3) Inside the World of Warcraft Program Folder, delete the "WTF," "Cache," and "Interface" folders.
4) Restart your computer.
5) Please do not reinstall Addons prior to testing the issue you were experiencing.
6) Make sure that you are using WOW.EXE or LAUNCHER.EXE to start the game. Please do not run any UI installers beforehand, as we want to eliminate them as part of the issue.
7) Upon launching the game, you should see the Intro cinematic movie and be prompted to agree to the Terms of Use. Once you authenticate past the login screen, the “AddOns” button should no longer be visible at the lower left corner of the character selection screen. Both points mentioned previously must hold true if you should complete the aforementioned steps correctly.

Q u o t e:
As I stated in my other post did you turn the sword back into the quest giver before going over to the Rune Forge to click on it?

The item itself appears to be working correctly. I was able to access Dalvur myself and begin the Runeforging process without any difficulty by simply clicking on the Battle-word Sword within Dalvur's primary bag.

With that said, nothing is without possibility. :)

Yup!

Would you mind running the Repair Utility, Dalvur?

No problem at all! I'm happy to hear everything is back in working order. :)
