Ok I am the first to defend DKs against bads QQing because I know the class can be beat in team play ect...

However yesterday I was doing arena with my paladin partner and one thing I noticed from 11 out of the 13 mirror matches we faced above 2100.

Every Death Knight was in frost presence the entire match. I have never done this and I just assumed people really were not this fail.

So this question is to 2k+ rated DKs. Are you guys really noobing it up and pvping exclusively in frost presence? It's always a dead give away when you see a DK in pvp gear with 27k hps.

Frost Presence needs a redesign. No class should be able to sit in a defensive state and still be a major threat offensively.

I am not sure how they would be able to rework it where we still had a "defensive stance" switch when we needed it but sitting in frost presence and still hitting for 4k on icy touch is not good. This is going to get even worse with the change to Bladed Barrier and the new frost presence. You are talking about 65% damage reduction to physical with toughness and a 10% damage reduction passive.

I am not sure how you would fix this without breaking Blood and Frost pvp big time but Unholy sitting in Frost Presence with Bone Shield up for a entire match is pretty retarded.

While my team beat every DK/Holy paladin where the DK was sitting in Frost Presence the major problem is Shadowfrost is OP, so my damage is really high in blood presence. What are all the other non-hunter comps doing against teams that are setting up like this?

Note: reason i said non-hunter comps is because hunter damage is retarded, and even in full pvp if I am not in frost presence full time I would get wreck in seconds even with a paladin spamming holy light.

Overall we don't exactly see a lot of Death Knights staying in Frost Presence the whole time in PvP. We also don't want Presence dancing to become a fundamental mechanic of the class as they weren't designed with a lot of depth to them.

On the other hand, having a warrior change to Defensive Stance when focused is totally cool. Druids should also be using their forms a lot. If we continue to have issues with DKs being too powerful after 3.1, even after all the nerfs in the upcoming patch, then Frost Presence will be on the list to look at.
