I got this a few hours ago in my mail. Not sure what the story is. There is no account specifically listed and the "go here to confirm your ownership" URL (which I edited) ends in a 404 error. I've never given out my account information to anyone so this seems a little far fetched, especially if an investigation would be a 3 hour suspension. I logged on both my accounts to no new information from either, but the email was recieved over 3 hours ago so if its legit, the suspension would be ended.

Any CS poster care to confirm this for me?

also, this email was from "noreply@blizzard.com". Due to some recent tickets I filed in game, I know that these types of emails are usually from "donotreply@blizzard.com" so maybe that's the tipoff.

These seem to be the con of choice lately.

And they are getting sneakier, as you see in this example they aren't asking you anything in the actual email.

Two quick checks on any email can help point up a phish.

Open the header, you'll see the real sender of this was not Blizzard.

We also never have suspensions 'pending', or threaten action.

Doesn't matter what the claim is - we don't do that. If we have sufficient reason to suspect foul-play, we will lock an account for your protection and proceed from there.

And of course, we will NEVER ask for your password, for any reason, in any context, by phone or in an email.
