This had to be one of the best April Fools ploys I've seen from Blizzard. It certainly had me wondering since I didn't even have a modem installed. But, then again, I come from the age of dial-up internet and the possibility of "rogue dialers" taking over your connections.
I pondered at the dearth of comments here about this, and I figured that either 99% of players played without game sound on, or 99% of the contributors here were too young to remember using a modem to connect the internet! lol!
