We're still in the process of testing changes. Additional changes are still coming through the wire from our developers every day as well. We're also doing some focus testing on class balance using the arenas on the test realms today.
The task of constantly pushing changes in new builds on the test realms, then allowing time for QA and player testing is not at all trivial. We take pride in the iterative process of development to ensure our design goals work in practice after we've worked them out in theory. Then there's the process of debugging those changes.
You know we have a love/hate relationship with the absolutely necessary reality of things: it'll be ready when it's ready. Today it is not ready.
Edit: Added a bit more to the second paragraph to comment on the importance of the iterative process.

p.s - Blizz Developers really suck. I can only hope wow gets hit like the auto industry. ROFL
We have some amazingly cool people on the WoW development team. That doesn't even speak volumes about the level of talent on the team as well. Hell, maybe if you invited them to the pub you may see for yourself how human they are... how dedicated to making a great game they are.
The process of operating and developing the WoW behemoth extends beyond my ability to properly express to you just what it takes, let alone for you to fully grasp it from the perspective of playing the game and reading the forums.
Speaking as a player, 3.1 couldn't come soon enough. I honestly can't wait. Speaking as an employee, I want to know we're following through with the plans we've laid out to the community for 3.1.

Not really. I'm not disillusioned about what we're ultimately doing here every day. I've held many jobs in the past where I had no personal investment in what I was doing. I take pride in my work nowadays and am generally happy to come to work to every day.
Providing nearly limitless entertainment for a wide range of people for a low cost is something I view as a positive avenue to which I can commit myself. I think we're helping to shape, expand, and improve upon gaming and social networking, and I feel this brings about positive implications for our future as a globally-interactive world.

These skills are very helpful in PVP - but in PVE are often done by those speced for a particular role in PVE. Don't get me wrong, I often do a cleanse against Hagan, judge with light on Sarpharon, and toss a Art of War procced instant heal during other encounters. But my raid role is primarily DPS, and if my DPS is too low, I will be replaced by a pure, easily.
As Blizzard continues its class balance via arena - are those issues taken into account for PVE content to keep some utility heavy hybrids in raids?

Seriously, I'm all for testing before release, but we know how patch deployments go with Actiblizzard nowadays.
Do we know that or are you just saying stuff again? It's weird to even think how your "Actiblizzard" claim would be at all relevant to our patch cycle.
As far as Easter being in May, haven't holidays been moved around from the actual dates of significance over the generations anyway? ;)

The forces of recollection must fog over time as your neurons slowly break connections from those housing bad, but particularly irrelevant memories.
Remember how things were before we did widespread hardware upgrades, the hardware for which took months to arrive? That was long before Activision could be made a scapegoat. Those were arguably quite tough times when it came to deployment and maintenance "incidents," as you refer to them.

Haha... noted. It's really not a phrase I enjoy either. I probably could've expressed myself better, but at the same time I want to speak to my audience. I feel somewhat that the phrase properly conveys to those reading my eagerness for 3.1's arrival.
