I took such pleasure in that note that, along with the other changes to clams, decided to make a section dedicated to clams in the notes. :)

This made me laugh when I read it.

What? People don't like the look of bulbous, vein covered clam meat??

I can just see it pulsing...

/shudder

Based on thread lulz, the patch note has changed:

Clams

  • A new clam, the Giant Darkwater Clam, can be obtained by fishing in Wintergrasp. This mighty clam has a greatly increased chance to drop pearls, and yields up to five times the regular amount of clam meat.
  • Loot from clams now stacks correctly!
  • Changed the icon for Succulent Clam Meat so it doesn't look quite as disgusting. Now 100% more succulent!

hey dont knock it. who'd want to eat something that looked like bloody brains other than a ghoul?

I think Mr. Fools, the thread creator, is still under the archaic and infinitely unfortunate impression that there are five developers working on the floor below me, and each of them are jacks of all trades. It's adorable really. :)

Wow, Fixed faster than you can say, Engineering.

You invest yourself too much in criticizing us if every step any Blizzard employee takes is evidence we're doing anything other than exactly what you want.

LOL

This change has to be talked about and approved and then coded and stuff.

Good job Blizzard developers you are right on top of things.

To use a slightly relevant quote from someone much wiser than me:

Q u o t e:
Item designers aren't responsible for ensuring a patch is released without bugs.

It's the age-old misconception that employee A adding feature X takes time away from employee B adding or fixing feature Y.

What? You mean you don't have an office full of administrative/software engineer/graphic artists, simultaneously fixing model geometry, testing network latency, rolling new icons for abilities, and handing out the mail?

This is a slap in the face! *takes his newly-stacked clams and storms off*

There are even employees making pizza right now. Would you believe it?!
