How can we properly plan for Blizzcon?

My wife and I wanted to visit some of our west coast buddies and have been debating if we would attend Comiccon or Blizzcon while we are out there. Well we have decided to go to Blizzcon but we have ran into a huge brick wall. How do we make reservations or arrange airplane tickets if we don't even know we will have tickets to the event. Comiccon tickets go on sale six months before the event. Is there an ETA on when tickets will go on sale? If we are able to plan ahead it will result in substantial savings. I also have a military factor that plays into our ability to request and get approval for leave.

We don't have an ETA for you just yet, but we do want to allow for plenty of time for everyone to purchase their tickets and make whatever travel and hotel arrangements they need as well.
