Why is WotLK PVE designed to be too easy?

I've seen many quotes from the devs saying WotLK was designed to be very easy in PVE. Isn't this just a slap in the face in people that enjoy PVE? I come from Vanguard, a game where the PVE can actually be considered challenging. <_< ANyway, Why did they make it so easy on the point of boredom and will they make every WotLK dungeon more difficult in the future?

Our main focus with this expansion, as always, is to design some fun and accessible content. If the majority of casual and hardcore players are able to work through the entry level 80 raid content, we view that as a good thing. Each additional tier of raid content will be incrementally more challenging, and -- as is the case with Ulduar -- hard modes will be available for much greater challenge and reward for the more battle-hardened raiders.

The percentage of players experiencing our raid content is higher than it's ever been, and even with increasingly more difficult raid dungeons and hard modes on the way, we hope the number of players accessing content on which we've spent a lot of development time does not falter.

Hi,

When you've burned through 25 Naxx/25 Maly (We are almost doing 25 Sarth the same night) and if your like me (Don't give a !*#* about achievements) What is there to do?

Just curious, thanks!

Ideally anything you'd find enjoyable. I think it's a given that some players are going to outpace the frequency at which we release new content in the way they experience the content currently available.

It's rare to find a form of entertainment that provides fun things to do for people hours a day, most days a week for a small monthly fee that doesn't add road blocks, learning curves, and elements of randomness that would exclude a large percentage of the subscribers.

We do what we can to provide a persistently fun atmosphere for all of our subscribers. That said, we don't have all the answers to keep each individual subscriber entertained at the level they may wish to be.

Whether you're posting on a level 1 character, or a level 80, please keep it civil folks. You can respectfully disagree with one's position while asserting yours; but speaking of boredom, throwing around derogatory and belittling terms to validate your argument is tiring for the reasonable people looking for an open discussion about what this video game means to the community.

For those to which this applies... be happy you're afforded the opportunity to discuss one of your hobbies while at work. :p
