Dual Spec Question

With the implementation of dual spec we will be able to purchase for 1000g the ability to switch between two specs on the fly...

will we also never have to pay for respeccing those two specs again?..

or will we have to pay another 50g to change those each time?

The fee you are paying is so that you can save a second talent spec. It will not negate the need to pay for respecs though should you decide that one or the other of those specs is no longer of use to you.

Keep in mind though, that you'll be given the opportunity to activate a preview function (in the interface options) so that you can play around with where you put your talent points. You won't see the specific numerical values that result from putting talent points in, but you'll get the opportunity to decide if you want to lock those talent points and spec in prior to you actually spending those points.

Hopefully, that makes it a bit clearer.

That does make it clearer.

Really I was thinking for myself that I constantly change my spec, I am sure I have spent well of the 1000g fee on it. That as a hybrid that does a considerable amount of PvP and PvE as many different specs I would still be paying 50g on those days I decide to change my two specs to another two specs.

Actually also, would that mean it would cost 100g because we have two now? Or still the original 50g?

You would only be respeccing your active spec so it would be whatever cost the trainer had you at (depending on time since your last respec). If you decided to respec both, you'd have to pay the respective fees.

It really depends on how you want to use dual spec. If you have a couple of different specs you use a lot, it's a great feature that will save you gold in time. If you are constantly changing both specs, I don't see it as having as much value for you since you'd be paying the 1000 gold as well as the respec fees.

You really need to look at how often you're respeccing and how you're respeccing in order to decide what sort of value the new feature is going to give you. For many people, they have two specific types of specs they run and this makes it easier on them. If they respec, it's normally just to tweak a spec a little and again, they get more value out of this than just straight respecs. If you're more in a constant experimental state with your spec, you might want to wait until you settle into a couple of spec types first before committing to it.

Will action bar spell layouts be automatically saved between the specs?

I'd hate to have to move my spells around every time I switch specs =/

Yes your action bar spell layouts will be saved as will your glyphs.

Q u o t e:
Does each spec get its own respec cost progression, or is that tied to the character? What I mean is, if I don't respec saved spec #2 for a month, but respec #1 all the time, will it ever get cheaper for me to respec #2?

You'll also incur an additional cost for the next spec after your initial one whether you have the dual spec feature or not. The cost for each respec will compound the same as if you were just respeccing the same spec.

Likewise, though, if you don't respec anything for awhile, the cost will go back down.
