My friend is having trouble logging into his account ... He had not even heard of battle.net at the time and the login page said that his account was tied to one and he was never logged into your website to update to a battle.net account-type... (even after he was on WoW last night fine...) He tried to recover a username(email) and/or a password and all attempts at this has failed... He can't log into his WoW account(because it says it is tied to a battle.net account) / any type of Battle.net(no idea username/password) and he has no way to use his account... This is a mandatory update for WoWusers? Or are you guys just screwing him out of his gametime/money?

His errors:
World of Warcraft ® Account Verification:(https://www.battle.net/account/management/wow-account-conversion.xml) .....::: Login invalid:::......

Login Error:(https://us.battle.net/login/)
Accountname/E-mail address:******************** <---Please log in with your associated Battle.net account.

Still, the only way to fix this is to contact Billing and Account services.

While waiting for them to open, have him scan his computer JUST IN CASE :)

This would be my best advice as well. If someone else DID have his information, it could have been used to attach his account to an account.

Billing should be able to shed more light on this for him.
