Interface/Add-On Folder Missing

I recently took a break from WoW & while on my break I deleted & reinstalled WoW on my computer as I had been crashing ALOT while flying from Dalaran to anywhere. To delete WoW, I completely removed it from my system & reinstalled as if I had never had the game.

Since I have WotLK & you can install everything from that disk, I used just that disk for my reinstall. Well last night, I redownloaded my addon's and went to put them in the addon's folder and it wasn't there.

Can I just create an interface & add-on folder or do I need to reinstall again?

Silly thought....have you run the game yet? Running the game should cause it to create any missing WTF/Cache or Interface folder

Right you are, Tirla!

Tygria, the WTF WDB and Interface folders all restore themselves, once deleted, when you actually log into the game. That is why we simply ask players to delete them when we are trying to reset their User Interface. I would try logging into one of your characters and see, once you have done so, if the folders in question return to you. :0)

My Interface Folder went MIA after I dl 3.1.1. I deleted the WTF and Cache, played the game for a bit, exited, opened WoW. The WTF and Cache file restored themselves but still no sign of Interface folder. I've spent the whole day today figuring this out. I've followed every tip i can find online.

The window in my room is slightly open and this Laptop is close to jumping off it.

Much more indepth, the tech forum will likely be a better place to pursue this, especially if this has just happened since 3.1.1

Interface, WTF and Cache have always restored themselves - we ask folks to delete those a lot :)

Not sure why this would be the case, especially if you aren't on Vista. Vista can play nasty tricks, but I've never personally heard of such a thing under XP. I will admit to not being the most tech savvy, our tech folks are very good at what they do. They will return to their forum in just a few hours - in the morning.
