I have faith that the changes in the upcoming patch will be nowhere as near as devastating as some have suggested, although the theorycraft so far does not look good from a caster's perspective.

For myself the problem isn't this buff or that nerf but why? What are these changes based on: Arena, raiding, questing, battlegrounds? How do these changes create balance? Whose definition of balance are you using?

The answers, when we get them, are vague at best and non-answers at worst. "Because the developers think this is what needs to happen" isn't an answer. Worse are the extended press releases and "interviews" that go no further than promoting changes without putting them into context.

I realize that the GMs who are on forum duty don't have these answers because they don't live inside the developer's heads (or maybe they do, it's an odd world), but I for one would very much appreciate more actual information about changes, something more than what the change is (patch notes) and why we should be happy about them (press release).

I am a developer. I post in these threads almost every day.

I am not able to answer every question posed by every player. Our audience is far too large, and that isn't all that we really want these forums to be about anyway.

I can understand why hearing some justification is nice, so we try to provide it, but really this game went on for over four years now with very little justification of the changes we were making. Clearly it isn't mandatory.

If you really want more one-on-one conversation with Blizzard, you also might want to reconsider your sig. ;)

Aw, man, now I wish the first time-traveling post hadn't gotten deleted. :(
