is it just my server or are other guys noticing a resurgence of the Casino toons.

They sit in (insert major city here) spamming 24/7

" Come on in !! Casino !! Where you Can Win Some GOLD...The Rules Are You Bet a Certain Amount of Gold Min 15g and Max is 1500. If You Roll Over a 64 I Will Double the Amount you want to play...Roll Over over a 95 Your Gold gets Tripled."

It's annoying as hell.

I have, and many other people have already reported them but it's been a few days and no ban action has gone on.

not breaking any rules, turn chat off hate it soo much.

The casino itself may not be but many of the surrounding activity involved may be.

I'll quote a recent response by my colleague Malkorix.
Q u o t e:

Casinos are, in and of themselves, not currently against our policies.

That said, we are monitoring the practice and the overall response to it very, very actively.

As I stated in my prior post:
While this practice may not, in an of itself, necessarily represent a violation at the moment, there are activities associated with running an in-game casino which certainly can represent violations; such as spamming or scamming.

Also, if it appears that this practice is being abused or is simply having a deleterious effect on the game play environment, we are certainly willing to revise our stance on the subject. Please remember that our ultimate goal is to provide the best and most fun environment for all our players.

It remains unwise to run an in-game casino, as it is inherently risky. Merely because you can do something does not mean that you should.

Q u o t e:
why have they been allowed back in, when previously banned? were the rules specifically augmented to allow their introduction back into the game?

The Game Master Department does not make policy, if you believe there should be a change to any of our policies you will want to post in our Suggestion Forums where our Developers and policy makers can review your post.
Q u o t e:

It will be so easy for someone to make trial accounts, scam people for a few hours then mail the gold off.

Well technically that is incorrect. A trial account can not speak in public channels and they can not trade items/gold or use the mail or auction house system.

I can't imagine what the guys on RP servers thing about this.

I actually play on an RP realm and I haven't seen any sign of it yet but I will be the first person to petition if they start spamming. :)
