Improved Scorch now also Increases your chance to critically hit with Scorch by an additional 3/6/9%.

While I somewhat like this change for purposes of pvp (albeit I don't think that 9% crit really puts scorch where it needs to be) this is not a "selfish benefit"

A selfish benefit implies that when you are not putting the buff up you are still gaining something from that talent.

The glyph change is nice too but scorch will still be inferior to the warlock counter part the same way CoE is inferior to its counterparts. I really think this should be addressed in some way.

edit: meh @ all the duplicate threads.

Our logic was that if you have the talent, you're probably going to be pushing Scorch (or else why did you take the talent?). Since you are pushing Scorch mostly to help the group, having an extra chance to crit can make that Scorch button less painful as well as having a better chance of getting a Hot Streak going.

I think we are likely to make the following changes:

Improved Scorch: In addition to the stacking crit debuff, will improve your critical strike chance with Fireball, Scorch or Frostfire Bolt by 1/2/3%.

Winter's Chill: In addition to the stacking crit debuff, will improve your critical strike chance with Frostbolt (possibly all Frost) by 1/2/3%.

Standard "no promises" caveat applies.

Read what Ghost said again. They're (probably) going to eliminate the 9% exclusively on scorch in favor of 3% on scorch and the two primary nukes.

Yeah, this. Sorry for any confusion. You lose 6% crit on Scorch but gain 3% on the nukes you would rather be using.
