LOL at damage dealing experiment

The intent seemed to be to create a forum where all the damage dealers could voice their gripes, and then let the more foolish posts get torn down by other players.

The idea being alot of whining sustains itself on class forums due to the echo chamber, and if the other classes were more exposed to the whining of others, more people from the community would get "put in their place" by other players, while devs giggled and got so see said what they WANTED to say but could not due to prudence.

I wonder how well the experiment has panned out.

We're prettty happy with how it has worked out. That's not to say they can't be improved, but I think the forums have benefited from being able to distinguish between discussions on class balance and discussions on "Hey guys, which glyph should I use as a level 40 rogue?"

When we launched these forums, there were dozen of threads a day just mocking the idea. But a few months later, and players do come here to have the very conversations we were hoping they'd have.

There is still a little too much QQ, demands for justice, and flaming people for the character they post on, but it's a great start.
