When I use my trinket, and then I get disconnected or lag spike.

You go.

You go.

When people on your team just give up and stop trying. It's not fun anymore after that. I tend to keep fighting even when we're on the downside of things.

When there's no win in sight, what's the point of giving your 100%? Not saying I do this, I usually use that time to go get my honorable kills.

The point is to have fun and give the other team a run for their money. Sure, you can churn through the BG faster if you just concede defeat, but to me, that defeats the purpose of PvP. Sure, the points and marks are great parts of the reward so you can get some new gear, but as much as it's a part of the system, the ultimate goal is to have fun. It's about taking part in a fun experience.

That's the whole goal of what we do, is to push to give players a source of enjoyment and a great gaming experience While we might argue about the methods of doing so, it doesn't change that goal for us.

I personally, like feeling that I've left all I've got on the battleground whether it's a win or a loss. While that might frustrate others, it's equally frustrating for those that are there to play the game to be a part of a "give up" scenario. It defeats the enjoyment of the encounter.

The statement in bold doesn't make any sense considering:

- You've raised the price of battleground pieces.
- You've added arena rating requirement to the better battleground pieces.
- You've added arena rating requirements in the first place.
- You take a long time listening to your players in regards to PvP concerns (i.e. this season, burst damage and high survivability reign supreme).
- Many more things that I'm too lazy to list, since it won't matter anyway with your generic response that will ensue.

It does make sense, but again, you may not perceive it the same as we do or at least you expect different things than we do (thus why these conversations are so good to have.)

I'll quote something from Ghostcrawler fromyou here on Arenas specifically- http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=15864310217&pageNo=1#14

I posted this in another thread somewhere, but I think the major conclusion you can really draw from this is that players go where the loot is. In season 1, it was much easier to get epics from Arena than raiding. We have almost completely flipped to the opposite extreme now.

Our goal isn't to force players into Arena who hate it but suffer through to get the loot. Everyone will be happier if the players doing Arenas are the players who like to do Arenas. Similarly, the people raiding should be the people who like raiding.

One of the designers came up with a smart saying recently, which is that you should not conculde that all heroics should be like Mechanar just because Mechanar was our most popular heroic. :)

In regard to your battleground gear concerns, consider them noted and I'll pass them along. In the meantime, the push to get gear is obviously a part of the game, but there are aspects to that push that should still be enjoyable in their nature. If you're not enjoying your time spent, then perhaps you don't like them as much as feel obligated (which doesn't lead to having fun), or we need to discuss it more on what we need to do to improve the experience.

The statement you bolded wasn't my opinion, it was what we do and believe. Again, how we go about it may not be how you want us to go about it and one person's enjoyment may not be everyone elses. We do our best to balance out somewhere in there to where we maximize the fun as much as possible. There are just a lot of details involved in what that fun is for each individual player.
