When are Paladins going to get this kind of

treatment?

When we sat down to design Resto for LK, tops on everyone's list was to get them to CAST ANOTHER SPELL SOMETHING ANYTHING!

That is a quote from GC on Resto Shamans and chain heal.

Now why can't Paladins get this kind of attention when it comes to their spammy heal button? (who spam one heal FAR more often than shamans do) Having a healing class spam one button is obviously a concern to the developers but even when paladins voice their concerns about the lack of variety, Blizz is still pretty reluctant to change things.

Paladins aren't asking for buffs. Just a change of pace.

Now I know the green players of the WoW forums only have one thing to say to that. "Reroll another class if you want a change of pace." or "Your class is OP" (I'm not sure what that has to do with anything but its a constant concern for other players)
Well that's exactly what I did. I leveled a priest, druid, and shaman close to 60 (Thank you RAF) and tried them all out. I decided on a resto druid because they bring a level of healing that Paladins can only dream of. The grass is definitely greener on the other side (literally) and I am sure it will continue to be that way all the way to 80.

Now back to my concerns. Isn't that obviously a sign of a problem. A player is forced to change his class just because of how an absolute bore another healing class is to play. I mean no other class in these forums complains about how their class is lacking in the "fun" department but I see many other players voicing their opinions on HL healing.

Throw paladins one flavored bone, just one. Until then I'll be taking my druid to Ulduar.

Well, for starters, if you read that whole thread, I recall that my next line was that we decided Chain Heal was the signature ability for the Resto shaman, so we didn't want to shove them too far away from it.

As I said in another thread recently, we think there are ways to make paladin healing more interesting without just giving them a hot, an AE heal, etc. Timing, synergies and cooldowns are all mechanics that can let a skilled player try and maximize their throughput, while still letting players who like the paladin because the class only has a few heals to manage not lose what they like about the class.

When you say "skilled player try and maximize their throughput" as it relates to paladins, what exactly do you mean? I already easily sit at 75%+ overhealing, last thing I need is more thoughput.

Sorry, I was saying we think it's possible to get what some players are asking for (more to do as a paladin healer) without ruining what other players like about the class (a small number of direct heals). I wasn't saying we think the class necessarily accomplishes all that now.
