A couple of days before this whole new Battle.net account shizam stuff went into effect. My account was comprimised (I'm on a friends account to post this). I have been trying to retrieve my account through e-mail since the hacker attempted to retrieve my password more times than allowed. Today I checked my email and found a message saying my account was merged with a battle.net account I do not own. The sad part is the e-mail adressed me by a false name. Is this intended? I checked the requirements for the merger, and all they need is a password. So, evedently, all they need it my password to change the name on my account? This is crazy. I'd like a response too.

In an instance where you can no longer access your account I do recommend contacting our Billing & Account Services team so they can help you in trying to recover it. Not being able to log back in to your account can be a scary situation but we are here to help.

In the event an account is merged with a Battle.Net account, the current data will be that of the Battle.Net account however, much like standard account recovery with Billing, if they help you get your account back, they will do their best to ensure your correct information is correctly displayed on the account.

The Billing Department is currently open and will be so for 2 more hours so please call in at your earliest convenience so we can work towards a speedy resolution for you.
