As another experiment, we are creating this thread for posting and analysis of PTR raid damage parses. If you don't understand what that means, you probably don't need to be posting in this thread.

I am going to be keeping a low profile in this thread. Please do not use it to ask questions or make demands. Please do not include any pre-3.1 numbers unless they are solely for comparative purposes. Please do not make definitive statements unsupported by data. Please do not derail the thread. We will try to delete off-topic responses.

For an example of what we would like to see, you can refer to the better parts of this thread:

EDIT: Let's try not reserving spots on this thread. We actually want a conversation that moves forward in time.

Q u o t e:
I don't understand why Blizz would need parses from the user community. Do they not have internal tools capable of doing a good job of analyzing raid damage? To me a better idea would be to look at the server-side data generated by the top ptr guilds and use that for fine-turning the class balance.

We're not offering a place for discussion because we don't know what the numbers are. We are offering it because we like to see the discussion and because players like to discuss the numbers. These are some of my favorite kinds of threads -- data and analysis.

It is also useful to have some real-world numbers to compare to ours.

Please, let's get back to discussing the parses. If you want to quibble about Blizzard testing methods, please don't use up valuable space here.

Part of the benefit of threads like this is players can't just say "Everyone knows our spec needs buffs" without having to confront the actual data in making their claims.
