[A GM] just messaged me and I can't interface with him....

I can see what he's typing and I clicked to be able to interface with him, but I'm unable to figure out how to type back. I've tried /r /t plain enter.... nothing is working....

He keeps messaging me but i can't talk back :(

If you guys are going to implement new stuff... make sure it works...

Are you using any addons, Sarang?

May I ask what character you were on when he attempted to contact you? And which character you submitted the petition on?

Thank you, Sarang.

Now that I have all of the information in front of me, let's start at the beginning:
Q u o t e:
and he says he won't address my petition now b/c I'm refusing to respond...CUTE!!!!

This is not what he said; he simply informed you that since you were unresponsive — not "refusing to respond" — he was going to close your petition. The matter was then addressed appropriately, and your petition was closed.

Just because the petition was closed, it does not mean that the Game Master did not address your issue.

Q u o t e:
instead of acting like the person is intentionally ignoring the GM... I think its rather unprofessional how this was handled tonight.
As I mentioned above, they never said that you were intentionally ignoring them. It's unfortunate, but our staff is unable to wait around, and see if you respond after a long time. We do have other players that require assistance.

They did wait for you to respond for about 10 minutes, just to be sure.

It is unfortunate that you were experiencing an issue with the GM Chat interface, Sarang; but, I really don't see where the Game Master was rude to you in any way.

However, should you wish to provide feedback on the matter, please feel free to e-mail WoWGMFeedback-US@Blizzard.com.

Additionally, if the GM Chat Window is not functioning properly, I'd recommend resetting your User Interface. Some addons can potentially cause an issue with the window, unfortunately.

Q u o t e:
The Reset UI process mainly involves either renaming or deleting what is sometimes affectionately referred to as The Holy Trinity, that is: the WTF, Cache and Interface folders, which may be found in the World of Warcraft directory - usually this is where WoW.exe is located; as an update to this procedure as of patch 2.0.1, we ask that players please refrain from deleting or renaming the WDB folder. The steps are as follows:

1) *IMPORTANT* Exit the World of Warcraft to your desktop by logging out of the game and exiting. If World of Warcraft isn't closed, then these steps won't have the desired effect.
2) If you used an "installer" for a custom UI, see if it has an "uninstaller" and use it.
3) Inside the World of Warcraft Program Folder, delete the "WTF," "Cache," and "Interface" folders.
4) Restart your computer.
5) Please do not reinstall Addons prior to testing the issue you were experiencing.
6) Make sure that you are using WOW.EXE or LAUNCHER.EXE to start the game. Please do not run any UI installers beforehand, as we want to eliminate them as part of the issue.
7) Upon launching the game, you should see the Intro cinematic movie and be prompted to agree to the Terms of Use. Once you authenticate past the login screen, the “AddOns” button should no longer be visible at the lower left corner of the character selection screen. Both points mentioned previously must hold true if you should complete the aforementioned steps correctly.

Please respect one another, folks, and beware your language.

I say this not as a threat, but as a reminder: Tensions are clearly very high at the moment. Let's all try to put the fingers away and remain sensitive to the fact that this situation may be incredibly frustrating for Sarang. Empathy is oft your greatest tool.

Sarang, should you wish to formally comment on the interaction in question, I would greatly encourage you to email wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com. Our goal as a department is to continually improve; your experiences—be they positive or negative—are thus incredibly appreciated. :)
