Blizzard UI Improvements for Healers

I remember a developer mentioning there was more they think they can do to make healing less dependent on mods.

I personally find mods quite a pain and the default UI to be more reliable. Nor do I have any output or reaction problems using the default UI. In fact I can frequently best good healers using Grid + Clique or any other number of mods. But there are quite a few simple improvements that could be made to the standard, reliable raid UI.

A few nice additions I can quickly think of.

- Larger health bars

Looking at grid you can see that space is utilized very well. There is a lot of empty unused space in the Blizzard UI. This can lead to the occasional misclick or simply not seeing a persons health low.

- Debuffs

They just need to be represented better in the default UI.

Player Name
Health
MP
Debuffs

That'd be nice setup while keeping wasted space to a minimum.

- Custom Groups

In addition to displaying the current raid grouping, you should be able to create your own custom group windows and place players of your choice into it. Obvious examples would be Tanks and VIPs.

And honestly, that's about all it'd take. For me at least.

Its mainly just placement and sizing issues which I don't think are very technically difficult. Custom groups and such would obviously be entirely new tech.

I think some information on where the issue stands in the developers' eyes would be much appreciated!

Thanks

This is a topic (UI improvements for healers for all y'all reading this quote out of context) that we'd definitely like more feedback on.

Keep in mind that the goal is not to replace every custom mod. The goal is that players who want to heal without custom mods feel like they can do their job.
